Phillips' Family Semi Annual Camping Trip

This past week we made a new tradition.  We decided we are going to go camping as a family more often.  At least twice a year.  The plan for this trip was to go to Yosemite National Park, but apparently you have to reserve a spot like five months ahead of time.  Boo!

Plan B:

Los Padres National Park - a little closer to us.  Also the plan was to originally stay for two days.  I'm pretty sure it was in the middle of the first night though that I decided we couldn't go two whole nights.  Ha!  Which ended up being a wise decision since we ran out of water!

 {Lottie!!}

{Hot dogs for lunch}

 {Lottie is hiding from the bugs.  I can't see you, you can't see me!}

We didn't want to end our vacation entirely though so we decided to drive up and over to Santa Barbara.  I really like Santa Barbara!  It's so much cleaner than LA and way less traffic!  It was a quaint, laid back beach city and I had the hardest time leaving.  The sand was smooth and perfect and Charlotte was in heaven.

Aaaand the drive was beautiful.  Mountains, orange groves, fruit stands, and of course the ocean. Perfect!

{Driving along the coastal highway}

We have never been to Santa Barbara so we thought we would take the day and explore.  The beach was absolutely perfect and it felt so good to wash away all the dust from desert camping.  Lunch at Rusty's Pizza was the last thing we hit before getting back on the road.

{Cute bum babe!}

{Her sandy bum!}

{She was pooped}

And that is the conclusion of our semi annual camping trip.
