The Family

I have a testimony of families.

I believe every man, woman, and child deserves to be part of a unit that uplifts, encourages, inspires, and above all, loves each other.  We as human beings have an innate desire to feel loved and wanted.

My major in college was Child Development.  I learned so much from the variety of classes I took, but one of my favorites was called, The Family.  Its curriculum, The Family, A Proclamation to the World.

I believe that proclamation to be inspired from a Heavenly Father who uplifts, encourages, inspires, and loves.

To learn more about the importance of the family, go HERE to read the First Presidency's inspired proclamation.

As part of an assignment for that class, we were required to gather information on various topics and put together a portfolio of all that we learned on those topics.  I am so grateful I did because now, I cherish my little folder of big knowledge.  Not my knowledge, but the knowledge of inspired church leaders, researchers, scientists, counselors, therapists, doctors, etc.  Who all affirm the importance of the family unit.

This book is one of my favorites.  It contains stores and stores of wonderful advice, knowledge, facts, and stories about how we can strengthen our homes and families.
