Princess lessons

Did I tell you I am taking princess lessons?  From my PT.  Posture, posture, posture ......

Yesterday the inevitable happened.  They finally resorted to just taping my shoulders back.  I feel like Mia from The Princess Diaries right now.

I technically should keep it on for an entire week, but we all know that's not going to happen.  Sleeping last night was .... interesting.  Any bets as to how long I can make it?  I give myself maybe 24 more hours.

We went to the mall yesterday - never intending to buy anything of course.  We found ourselves in Express.  While Luke was trying on clothes I decided to take pictures of myself.  This is me at eight glorious months.  Feels like twelve.  This is Luke in all his studliness.  Someday I will take a picture of him in a shirt, tie, and slacks.  Because he looks REALLY good in dress clothes.

Like, really good.

I feel like it's been forever since my last baby update.  So here it is.

How far along: 32 weeks and 1 day

Size of baby: About 17 inches and weighing in at almost 4 lb!  She will soon reach her birth height, but will continue to accumulate fat.  Hmmmm I can't wait to see what she looks like!

Total weight gain/loss: I've chosen not to answer this question for a while now, but have decided to not be ashamed anymore.  35 incredible lb.

Maternity clothes:  Of course.

Stretch marks: For the longest time I thought I was getting away without one single stretch mark ... now I have multiple.  I feel like they appeared overnight!  Big nasty purple ones!

Sleep:  Sleep has improved somewhat.  I still wake up every time I have to switch sides or go to the bathroom, but I have been able to fall back asleep pretty quickly.  I take half a Unisom every night before bed.  I guess it's working.  There is one thing though.  I HATE when it's time to switch sides.  Why?  Because I'm like Gus from Psych (I like to relate my life to fictional characters).  It takes me an 11 point turn to get from one side to the other.  And, you know that feeling when you're going down a roller coaster and your stomach "drops"?  That happens to me every time I have to switch sides.  Afterall, I am shifting 4+ lb of baby and baby-related product.  I always worry she is going to run into some vital organ and crush it.  But that hasn't happened yet.

Best moment(s) last week: I remember thinking I had a best moment last week ... and now I can't remember it.  Pregnancy brain has hit me hard.  I think I remember it being nice enough outside to go on walks again.  Luke and I went on one and it was so nice.  I can't wait till we're going on walks with a stroller.

Movement: Some days her movements are so big and strong, I feel like she might rip through my skin!  I think she has found a favorite spot to kick her foot too.  My ribs.  And only my left for some reason.  Each time it always surprises me and makes me gasp.  Haha.  I just remembered a moment from church on Sunday.  It was towards the end of sacrament when with no warning whatsoever, she moved just the slightest movement.  But that was all it took for me to lose control of a certain fluid.  Sorry.  TMI.

Food cravings: Most recently, Arby's curly fries, and quesadillas with Tapatio hot sauce.

Gender:  Girl!

Labor signs: I honestly have no idea.  Sometimes I think I am having a Braxton Hicks contraction (which is fake labor), but idk.  I'm sure I'll know when it's the real deal!

Belly button - in or out: It's so close to being out, especially after I have eaten, but technically I think it's still flat.

What I miss: Fitting into my old clothes, and wishing I could buy new "skinny" clothes.

What I am looking forward to: Several things.  Meeting this babe of mine, moving, having my body all to myself again, fitting into my old size after it's all said and done, and meeting this babe of mine.

You are all baby so stop kicking yourself for weight gain and give your baby those extra cushions. You are adorable. But I feel you, it is hard to not miss skinny clothes again and being not so "round". But seriously you look great! And yay for babies!
